CENTER ADMINISTRATOR: These full time positions are with our Delaware and Marysville Head Start/Early Head Start Centers. (Please specify location when applying). The Center Administrator manages daily program operations and staff supervision.  In coordination with component managers, provides overall center program leadership.  Administers and implements policies and procedures at assigned site to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and State Licensing Regulations.  Maintain quality environments with attention to safety and health prevention measures.  Function as a liaison between central office leadership, staff and community collaborators. Assure active recruitment is occurring in the areas of the community that best reflects the program’s target population. Responsible for personnel issues, including but not limited to recommending hiring and terminating of center staff, staff conferences, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc.  Conduct monthly staff meetings and individual meetings as needed. Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate center activities which may include evenings and weekends.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field plus a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an early childhood education program with Supervisory experience. Experience in Step Up To Quality Rating System and Head Start preferred but not required. Must be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and have the ability to learn new systems.  Ability to lift 45 pounds as needed. Strong organization and time management skills required.  Must submit to a background check, including BCI and FBI Criminal Records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License, provide proof of auto insurance and have a clean driving record for work related driving.   Must complete a pre-employment physical examination drug screening. Salary range $18.29 – $20.60 per hour.

HOME VISITOR: This full time position works with our Head Start/Early Head Start programs in Delaware. To provide in-home instruction as well as group socialization experience to parents and children which will enhance the parents’ ability to fill the role of primary nurturer of their child.  Maintain on-going contact with families and work with all components (health, nutrition, family services, mental health, special services, parent education and resource/referral) to integrate services into the family setting.  Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state, and/or agency policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate must have or be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate family needs, may include some evening or weekend hours. Must submit to a background check, including BCI and FBI Criminal Records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS. ASSISTANT TEACHER: We have positions with our Marysville, Delaware, Buckeye Lake and Newark Head Start/Early Head Start Centers. Please specify location when applying. This position is responsible to assist the classroom teacher in providing a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). To assist the classroom teacher in promoting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children.  To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start children in the classroom and at home.  To assist the classroom teacher with keeping accurate written notes to help develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.

The successful candidate must have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or licensure. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check and a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Salary range: $10.16 – $14.76 per hour depending upon degree and license.

FOOD SERVICE AID: This full time position (32 hours) assembles and delivers healthy meals to Head Start/Early Head Start Centers in Licking County.  Ability to lift and load food carriers from floor to van.  Ability to maintain high level of daily repetitive motion with arms and hands.  Ability to stand and walk for most of an eight (8) hour day.  Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen sanitation.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED required.   Must complete background check which includes BCI and FBI Criminal records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information system and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance for work related driving.   A physical examination and drug screen is required before employment. Salary $9.98 per hour.

CREW LEADER: The Crew Leader is a full time position with our Community Services Division in Newark, Ohio.  This position will supervise an assigned crew to coordinate the completion of work that needs to be done on each job.  Ensures Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) standards are followed for each home as outlined in the Weatherization Program Standards (WPS). Must have the ability to perform all weatherization skills and theory, i.e., blower door use, duct sealing and indoor air quality, heating unit inspections, maintenance and repair, pressure house diagnostics, estimation of materials needed to weatherize a home, provide consumer education, mobile home weatherization. Ensure accurate record keeping for each client and proper account of materials and inventory. Must be able to stand for eight (8) hours a day, climb ladders, and work in tight quarters and in unclean conditions. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.  Experience and/or training in construction trade, home weatherization or related field.  Must have or be willing to obtain training within the first 180 days of employment on the use of blower door, duct sealing/pressure house diagnostics and be able to perform duties upon completion of training.  Must be certified or be willing to obtain certification in OSHA 30. Must be willing to obtain training and certifications required by the Ohio Service Department Agency. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, and complete various background checks including a pre-employment drug screen. Salary range: $14.07 – $15.39 per hour.

DATA OUTCOMES SPECIALIST: This full time position supports the Community Services Division of the Agency through collecting, compiling, sorting and verifying data, data entry and quantitative analyses of data collected. Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: Provide accurate data entry support to the Community Services Division.  Compile, sort and verify accuracy of data entered. Interpret data and analyze for Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA). Create and prepare spreadsheets, charts and other media showing analyses of data collected. Monitor quality and accuracy to ensure compliance with grant program regulations.

The qualified candidate will possess strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.  Must be adept at queries, report writing, and present findings. Ability to develop analytic reports, charts and graphs.  Must have experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.  Candidate must be willing to become a ROMA Certified Consultant and maintain any future training as needed (Agency to provide).  Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years similar or related experience.  Preference will be given to candidates with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Statistics, Business Management or a related field. Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement and complete various background checks including a pre-employment drug screen. Salary range: $15.39 – $16.34 per hour.

CENTER & VOLUNTEER MANAGER: This full time position is responsible for all customer service employees and volunteers at all locations (Newark, Buckeye Lake, Utica and Pataskala) to ensure that customers are receiving the outreach services they need and that all monthly ROMA and Service area reports are completed and filed on time for all programs, grants and funding sources.  The Center and Volunteer Manager will oversee and manage all LEADS Food Pantries. Responsible for coordinating food pantry purchases, deliveries, unloading, and stocking. Recruit, supervise, and manage all volunteer staff as needed, including training, conflict resolution, performance management, etc.  Assists Community Services division with center fundraising and community relations. Assist customers with emergency assistance (utility, rental, etc.) as needed. Determine eligibility and compliance with established rules and regulations. Input customer data in various computer programs. Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low income, elderly and/or minority clients.  Answer multiline phone system and take accurate messages. Candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and have the ability to perform mathematical computations.  Must be comfortable speaking in public.  Able to work flexible hours to meet business needs.  Able to lift up to 35 pounds. Must be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time.

The successful candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent with 5-10 years’ experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.  Must have 1-2+ years’ supervisory experience. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  Must a have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, and complete various background checks including a pre-employment drug screen. Salary range: $16.03 – $17.01 per hour

WEATHERIZATION TECHNICIAN: The Technician with our Community Services Division in Licking County is responsible to perform work on homes as outlined in the work order according to specific program standards. Complete any home repairs and weatherization as needed for each job. Perform general activities involving insulations, air sealing, glass and plexi-glass cutting, frame building, painting, and other duties as assigned. Perform general warehousing activities involving loading and unloading of vehicles, sorting and stocking of materials, equipment, and other related duties. Must be able to climb ladders, work in tight quarters and unclean conditions at times.  Must be able to stand for eight hours per day. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions. Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low-income, elderly and/or minority residents.

Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and experience and/or training in construction trade, home weatherization or related. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, and complete various background checks. Salary range: $12.36 – $13.93 per hour.
