CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER: The Customer Service Manager position within our Community Services Division will work out of our Pataskala Center.  This position is responsible for supervising all customer service employees and volunteers to ensure that customers are receiving the outreach services they need and that all monthly reports are completed and filed in a timely manner for all grant program requirements.  The Customer Service Manager will oversee and manage the Pataskala Center Food Pantry, Clothes Closet and the Community Building. Will be expected to maintain various outreach duties such as speaking engagements, attending meetings and other social events.  Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low income, elderly and/or minority clients.  Answer multiline phone system and take accurate messages. Candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to perform mathematical computations.  Must be comfortable speaking in public.  Able to work flexible hours to meet business needs.  Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

The successful candidate should have an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.  Must have 1-2+ years’ supervisory experience. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  Must a have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, and complete various background checks including a pre-employment drug screen. Salary range: $12.52 – $13.69

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE: The Customer Service Representative position within our Community Services in Newark is responsible for performing general office functions such as typing filing, faxing, etc. Perform program intake and provide assistance to our clients and the community.  Responsible to collect and verify all required information and enter it into various systems.  Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low income, elderly and/or minority clients.  Answer multiline phone system and take accurate messages. Candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to perform mathematical computations.  Able to work flexible hours to meet business needs.  Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Preference will be given to candidates with 1-2+ years’ experience within the customer service environment.  Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, and complete various background checks including a pre-employment drug screen. Salary: $9.81 – $11.76/hour.

HEALTH & NUTRITION MANAGER: This full time position with our Head Start/Early Head Start Program is responsible for ensuring that the health and nutritional needs of all children are being met; ensures completion of follow-up on individual children as needed. Provides related mandated Child Care Licensing trainings as required for staff. Meets with parents/guardians as needed, especially for health exceptionalities, allergies and medication administrations. Ensures newborn home visits are conducted on all Early Head Start babies and their mother. Ensures that CACFP documentation is completed, collected and inputted for the Ohio Department of Education.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and/or licensure in the nursing field with experience in pediatrics.  Preference will be given to a Register Nurse. A minimum two years’ experience working with children ages zero through five and a diverse group of parents/guardians.  Head Start/ Early Head Start experience preferred. Must submit to a background check, including BCI and FBI Criminal Records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License, provide proof of auto insurance and have a clean driving record for work related driving.   Must complete a pre-employment physical examination drug screening.  Salary range $16.67 – $21.80 per hour.

FAMILY SERVICE WORKER:  This full time position with our Marysville Head Start/Early Head Start program is responsible for coordinating, collaborating and facilitating the effective delivery of social services and parent involvement to Head Start children, families and staff in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing regulations.  This position operates as a liaison between classroom and home settings. Responsible for developing a partnership with families including the following:  Assessing strengths and needs, developing goals using the Family Partnership Agreement, connecting with families resources to  meet needs, and collaborating with other agencies to ensure easy access to resources. Conduct recruitment activities according to the LEADS recruitment plan in order to maintain 100% enrollment.

The qualified candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field.  Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree, Social Work Certificate or Licensure. Must submit to a background check, including BCI and FBI Criminal Records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License, provide proof of auto insurance and have a clean driving record for work related driving.   Must complete a pre-employment physical examination drug screening. Salary range $11.60 – $16.66 per hour.

TEACHER: This full time position with our Newark Head Start/Early Head Start Center is responsible to provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area and field trips).  To promote the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children.  To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start Children in the classroom and at home.  To keep accurate written notes to develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or in the process of obtaining). Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or license; 2 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education program is preferred; must have experience in classroom management in a preschool setting, with an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.  Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance for work related driving.  Must submit to a background check, including BCI and FBI Criminal Records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License, provide proof of auto insurance and have a clean driving record for work related driving.   Must complete a pre-employment physical examination drug screening. Salary range: $16.40 – $18.46 per hour, depending upon education and license.

ASSISTANT TEACHER-Full Time: We have full time positions with our Newark, Delaware and Marysville Head Start/Early Head Start Centers. Please specify location when applying. This position is responsible to assist the classroom teacher in providing a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). To assist the classroom teacher in promoting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children.  To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start children in the classroom and at home.  To assist the classroom teacher with keeping accurate written notes to help develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.

The successful candidate must have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or licensure. ASSISTANT TEACHER-Part Time: We have a position with our Buckeye Lake Head Start/Early Head Start Center. This part time (28 hours) position is responsible to assist the classroom teacher in providing a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). To assist the classroom teacher in promoting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children.  To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start children in the classroom and at home.  To assist the classroom teacher with keeping accurate written notes to help develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.

The successful candidate must have a CDA and/or Associate’s Degree or pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or licensure. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check and a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Salary range: $9.66 – $12.85 per hour depending upon degree and license.

FOOD SERVICE AID: This part time position (20 hours) assembles and delivers healthy meals to Head Start/Early Head Start Centers in Licking County.  Ability to lift and load food carriers from floor to van.  Ability to maintain high level of daily repetitive motion with arms and hands.  Ability to stand and walk for most of the day.  Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen sanitation.

The qualified candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent.  Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check, and a pre-employment physical.  Salary is $9.48 per hour.
