HOME BASE COACH/MENTOR: This full time position is with our Licking County Head Start/Early Head Start Program. The Coach/Mentor will monitor and assist with Child Assessment input for the Home Base Option and monitor data document.  Observe Home Visitors in coordination with the Home Base Manager using the forms chosen. Provide feedback to Home Visitors after observing and provide information to supervisors and the child Development Manager when needed.  Assist Home Visitors in selecting materials for the home. Conduct training for staff in group or individual sessions, documenting training that each Home Visitor has had as part of the teacher files. Conduct training for parents at parent meetings as requested and provide resources to parents as needed. Participate on the Curriculum/Literacy committee and other committee as deemed necessary.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Family Development or related field. Knowledge and interest of low income, preschool children and their families. Maintains current knowledge of children’s mental health issues. Must be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and have the ability to learn new systems.  Ability to lift 45 pounds as needed. Strong organization and time management skills required.  Flexibility, willingness, and commitment to attend meetings and trainings as needed. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete background checks, and have a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Salary range $16.60 – $18.68 per hour depending upon education and license.

TEACHER: We have a full time position with our Big Walnut (Souders) Head Start Center.  This position is responsible to provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area and field trips).  To promote the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children.  To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start Children in the classroom and at home.  To keep accurate written notes to develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or in the process of obtaining). Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or license; 2 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education program is preferred; must have experience in classroom management in a preschool setting, with an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.  Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement and submit a background check.  A physical examination is required before employment.  Salary range: $16.40-$18.46 per hour, depending upon education and license.

ASSISTANT TEACHER-Full Time: We have positions with our Newark and Delaware Head Start/Early Head Start Centers. Please specify location when applying. This position is responsible to assist the classroom teacher in providing a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). ASSISTANT TEACHER-Part Time: We have a position with our Utica and Buckeye Lake Head Start/Early Head Start Centers. Please specify location when applying.  This part time (28 hours) position is responsible to assist the classroom teacher in providing a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). To assist the classroom teacher in promoting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children.  To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start children in the classroom and at home.  To assist the classroom teacher with keeping accurate written notes to help develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.

The successful candidate must have a CDA and/or Associate’s Degree or pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or licensure. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check and a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Salary range: $9.66 – $14.09/hour depending upon degree and license.

FAMILY SERVICE WORKER:  We have a position with our Utica Head Start/Early Head Start Center. This full time position is responsible for coordinating, collaborating and facilitating the effective delivery of social services and parent involvement to Head Start children, families and staff in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing regulations.  This position operates as a liaison between classroom and home settings. Responsible for developing a partnership with families including the following:  Assessing strengths and needs, developing goals using the Family Partnership Agreement, connecting with families resources to  meet needs, and collaborating with other agencies to ensure easy access to resources. Conduct recruitment activities according to the LEADS recruitment plan in order to maintain 100% enrollment.

The qualified candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field.  Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree, Social Work Certificate or Licensure.  Applicant must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check, and a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Salary range $11.90 – $17.09 per hour depending upon education and license.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST: This position with our Newark Head Start Center provides office support to the Center Administrator and teaching staff at the center.  Duties include, but are not limited to, maintain reports, filing, maintaining office supply list and order, answer incoming calls, assist is classroom as needed. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Must have strong organizational and time management skills.

The successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with one (1) year of office administrative work.  Must have experience with computers using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a complete a background check and a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Salary: $8.95/hour.

TEMPORARY EHS HOME VISITOR: This full time temporary position with our Early Head Start program in Newark provides in-home instruction as well as a group socialization experience to parents and children (infants/toddlers) which will enhance the parents’ ability to fill the role of primary nurturer of their child.  Maintains ongoing contact with families and work with all components (health, nutrition, family services, mental health, special services, parent education and resource/referral) to integrate services into the family setting.  Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state, and or agency policies and procedures.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Development or related field. Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate family needs that may include some evenings and or weekend hours. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement and submit a background check.  A physical examination is required before employment.  Salary: $15.19 per hour.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE II: The Customer Service Representative II position is with our Community Services Division in Newark.  This full time position is responsible for performing general office functions such as typing filing, faxing, etc. Perform program intake and provide assistance to our clients and the community.  Responsible to collect and verify all required information and enter it into various systems.  Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low income, elderly and/or minority clients.  Must be willing to receive training to complete on-site energy audits. Be able to calculate income and electric usage. Will assist and counsel customers on ways to be energy efficient and perform Energy Audits when necessary. Candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to perform mathematical computations.  Able to work flexible hours to meet business needs.  Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Preference will be given to candidates with 1-2+ years’ experience within the customer service environment.  Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, and complete various background checks, including a pre-employment drug screen. Salary range: $12.00- $13.26/hour

ENERGY AUDITOR: The Energy Auditor position with our Community Services Division provides assistance and counseling to customers on ways to be more energy efficient. This full time position will maintain records and prepare reports required by the Office of Energy Efficiency, Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development and other various regulatory agencies. Provide energy efficiency services to participants in the targeted Energy Partnership Programs (EPP), to insure customers can maximize benefits of the program.

The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be willing to obtain training and certifications required by the Ohio Service Department Agency or LEADS. Candidate must be technically knowledgeable about energy usage, house as a system thinking/application, and technical benefits of measures’ installation. Able to install Electric base load measures or any other required program measures for customers. Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low-income, elderly and/or minority residents. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to suit the needs of customers.  Applicant must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, be insurable, and have a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check, and a pre-employment drug test. Salary range $14.07 – $16.34 per hour.
