Energy Assistance & Coronavirus Update

EFFECTIVE 3-13-2020

Due to the recent Coronavirus crisis, LEADS Staff will not be doing Face- to-Face interviews for any of the Energy Assistance Programs, until further notice. If you want to apply for Energy Assistance, you will need to do the following:

If you have a termination notice, please provide the agency with the following information, so we can place a hold on the utility (if needed).

  • Name on bill – Must be a member in the household
  • Current address
  • Phone number
  • Utility account number – REQUIRED

We will give you a time and date for a phone interview and place a hold on the Utility. Please make sure you are providing the agency with a good contact number.

  • All required documentation needs to be emailed or dropped off BEFORE the phone interview.

IF THE DOCUMENTATION IS NOT PROVIDED, YOUR APPLICATION CANNOT BE PROCESSED.

If your household utility is shut off, we will process the same day, if all documentation is provided. You may still be required to pay a reconnection fee, up to $36.00 dollars. This fee will need to be paid before the phone interview.
