TEACHER: We have full time positions with our Newark, Pataskala, and Marysville Head Start/Early Head Start Centers. (Please specify location when applying.) This position is responsible to provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area and field trips). To promote the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children. To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start Children in the classroom and at home. To keep accurate written notes to develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or in the process of obtaining). Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or license; 2 years' experience in Early Childhood Education program is preferred; must have experience in classroom management in a preschool setting, with an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License and provide proof of auto insurance for work related driving. Must submit to a background check, including BCI and FBI Criminal Records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS. HOME VISITOR: We have full time positions with our Head Start/Early Head Start programs in Newark, Marysville and Delaware. (Please specify location when applying.) To provide in-home instruction as well as group socialization experience to parents and children which will enhance the parents’ ability to fill the role of primary nurturer of their child. Maintain on-going contact with families and work with all components (health, nutrition, family services, mental health, special services, parent education and resource/referral) to integrate services into the family setting. Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state, and/or agency policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate must have or be in the process of obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate family needs, may include some evening or weekend hours. ACCOUNTING CLERK II: The Accounting Clerk II assists in the fiscal department under the direction of the Fiscal Assistant. This position performs accounts payable related duties, which includes preparing vouchers and tracking past due bills. Perform bank reconciliations for all accounts, Monitor all charge card accounts. Monitor all in-kind contributions, i.e., keep running totals and filing.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer training in non-profit accounting with at least two (2) years college education and/or two (2) years’ accounting experience or any combination of education and experience. Experience in Accounts Payable, Data Collection, etc. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must have good time management skills, ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail. Must a have a valid Ohio Driver's License and provide proof of auto insurance. PROGRAM OPERATIONS ASSISTANT: This is a full time position with our Community Services Division in Newark. The Program Operations Assistant collects, assembles, and enters all data regarding labor and material for all field based programs. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office programs. Candidate must be willing to learn multiple software applications as used within the division. Ability to perform basic accounting/bookkeeping functions. Good verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to perform accurate mathematical computations. Experience in Inventory control a plus. Assist in the preparation of all required reports and correspondences. Assist with inventory collection, damages, and shortages. Assists in the delivery of materials and goods to work crews when needed.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidate must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low income, elderly and/or minority residents. Able to perform general office duties. CONSTRUCTION CREW LEADER: The Crew Leader is a full time position with our Community Services Division in Newark. This position will supervise an assigned crew to coordinate the completion of work that needs to be done on each job. Ensures Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) standards are followed for each home as outlined in the Weatherization Program Standards (WPS). Must have the ability to perform all weatherization skills and theory, i.e., blower door use, duct sealing and indoor air quality, heating unit inspections, maintenance and repair, pressure house diagnostics, estimation of materials needed to weatherize a home, provide consumer education, mobile home weatherization. Ensure accurate record keeping for each client and proper account of materials and inventory. Must be able to stand for eight and one half (8 1/2) hours or more a day, climb ladders, and work in tight quarters and in unclean conditions. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience and/or training in construction trade, home weatherization or related field. Must have or be willing to obtain training within the first 180 days of employment on the use of blower door, duct sealing/pressure house diagnostics and be able to perform duties upon completion of training. Must be certified or be willing to obtain certification in OSHA 30. Must be willing to obtain training and certifications required by the Ohio Service Department Agency. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License and provide proof of auto insurance. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, and complete various background checks including a pre-employment drug screen. Salary range: $17.58 - $19.81 per hour
CONSTRUCTION & CREW LABORERS: We have several positions with our Community Services Division in Licking County. Positions include HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing, Carpenters, Insulators, and General Laborers. These positions are responsible to perform work on homes as outlined in the work order according to specific program standards. Complete any home repairs and weatherization as needed for each job. Perform general activities involving insulations, air sealing, glass and Plexiglas cutting, frame building, painting, and other duties as assigned. Perform general warehousing activities involving loading and unloading of vehicles, sorting and stocking of materials, equipment, and other related duties. Must be able to climb ladders, work in tight quarters and unclean conditions at times. Must be able to stand for eight and one half (8-1/2) hours or more per day. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions. Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low-income, elderly and/or minority residents.
